Lanzarote Buses and Bus Routes
Lanzarote Buses – Bus Routes and Lanzarote Public Transport.
Lanzarote buses, bus routes and Lanzarote public transport main services out of Costa Teguise are listed below with an appropriate link to the web site of Intercity Bus, the public bus service of the island.
One of the top questions asked regarding bus routes on Lanzarote is there an airport to Costa Teguise direct service, the short answer is No. There is actually an indirect service the first leg from airport to Arrecife terminus then onward to Costa from Arrecife. After your flight the long and short of it I would not advise to try it. The cost of the local taxis or the internet bookable services are the far better option for time and convenience. Do you really want to lug your bags onto public transport. ?
The 2nd most enquired about route is that of the Sunday market up in Teguise the old capital of the island. Leaving Costa from various stops around the town, with two very close service stops at the Lanzarote Gardens Hotel and across from the Friday market Pueblo Merinero both very close to our Las Calas Villas and Calle Catamaran. Another popular route is that of Costa Teguise to Arrecife itself. Picking up again at the Lanzarote Gardens hotel and Pueblo Marinero. For those wishing to walk off too many 3 hour lunches you can exit the bus at Los Marmoles (Arrecife Port) and walk all the way through Arrecife and its promenade to the main terminus bus station at the other side of the city. Its around 5km (3m) so be prepared especially in warmer weather. Along the route there are the 2 castles of San José and San Gabriel where you will find a mid point watering hole for that “Frothy One”. Bus Route Link.
